Rewilding gardens and landscapesWe have worked across hundreds of acres and offer a broad service of design, landscaping, and arboriculture for outdoor spaces.
What sets us apart is that we put nature first. We bring ecological awareness, looking to increase biodiversity and create habitat. We work sensitively with natural cycles and are informed by organic and permaculture principles. Our services include measuring, mapping and 3D design; clearing and habitat creation; tree felling and planting; carpentry and construction. Recent work includes permaculture transformation of a residential site, biodiversity planting on a 3 acre hillside, and helping an elderly couple increase wildlife in their downsized garden. |
A personal journey of rewildingMy name is Sam Adams and I created Red Phoenix Rewilding to address the disconnect I observe between ourselves and the natural world. There should be no distinction between us and 'nature'. We are nature.
I’ve been working in the field of sustainability, permaculture and agroecology since 2001. It has been a rich and varied path, including running an organic smallholding and leading the UK climate change project at the Soil Association. I am passionate about reconnecting ourselves with the land, with the wild spaces. Together with my team, I bring both a practical hands-on skillset, alongside an appreciation of slowness, mindfulness, and the spirit and rhythms of our land. |
The team planted over 1,000 trees for our new hedgerows. They worked impressively fast and brought the ecological sensitivity that we want on our land.

I have hired Red Phoenix multiple times to support with our garden and small holding, nurturing the wildness, while bringing a sense of order and management.

Sam listens well to the land and to the client. Combining deep listening with the hard graft of physical work, he has facilitated new vision for this piece of land.
